Keeping it Human: An Introduction to Accident Investigation workshop

Next Workshop TBC - Please register below to receive information about upcoming workshops.

This workshop is aimed at Business Owners/Operators, Business Managers and Team Managers providing a practical and structured introduction to human centred accident investigations.

  • Unravelling the mysteries behind accidents is not just about finding fault; it's about understanding the human element and supporting your team to learn and move forward. 'Keeping it Human: An Introduction to Accident Investigation' goes beyond traditional methods to explore the intricate interplay of human factors in accidents.

Participants will learn how to avoid the ‘name, blame, shame, and retrain’ and how to peel back the layers of causation and look into everything from organisational culture to the systems for controlling risks. Gaining insights that can then help reshape safety protocols and prevent future incidents.

This workshop is not about how to be a lead investigator or manage a WorksafeNZ notifiable event, it will give participants tools and processes to work with their team when something out of the ordinary happens. Join us as we dive into the human side of accident investigation, empowering individuals and organisations to foster safer, more resilient work places.
