This workshop focuses on how to uncover the critical risks, or 'S.T.I.C.K.Y’s (Stuff That It Could Kill You) that are lurking within your organisation. During this session participants will be given an introduction into how to assess their organisation’s activities, identify appropriate controls and monitor their effectiveness. It is all about effectively allocating resources so the ‘big stuff’ is covered. Join us as we will introduce you to the tools needed to mitigate risks and effectively, foster a safer and healthier workplace for everyone.

  • An introduction into critical risk identification, control and monitoring.

    • What is the difference between a hazard and risk?

    • Drift and accumulation

    • Effective controls

    • Monitoring: are you assured?

    • Hazard ID PEEPO and the Energy Wheel exercise

  • Goal 1: Individual

    • Gain some practical tools on how to identify critical risks

    Goal 2: Team

    • Encourage group cohesion and team work.

    • Use tribal knowledge to develop controls and monitor that they are effective

    Goal 3: Organisation

    • Establish an ‘Even Better’ culture and demonstrate HASWA 2015 compliance activities in the real world.
